Mid FallIts amazing how much change a week can bring.  Fall sure came in a hurry!  The trees are still colourful although a lot of the colour is now on the ground ready to be raked.  The temperature dropped and the girls went from picking up boats in t-shirts to picking up boats in snowsuits in a matter of days.  They’re still hoping for a warm snap for all of next week’s pick-ups.
The water has gone down significantly.  Gull Rock on Mississagua is finally visible and we’ve had a few props come in for repair so be careful out there – the rocks are starting to make themselves known.  So if you find yourself thinking that the end of boating season may be creeping up on you, give us a call or email and we can pick up the toys and get them here safe and sound for the winter.
We’ve also gotten a ton of rain over the past week and boat batteries are having a hard time keeping up with bilge pumps so if you’re up this weekend, take a peek and make sure it will still run – the water is getting a bit chilly to go boat diving!
We are open from 9am-5pm for the rest of the week and through the weekend.  They’re calling for a good one.
Enjoy the rest of the week and Happy Turkey Day!

Algonquin ColoursThis past week and the official arrival of fall (although it hasn’t really felt like it) has really brought the colour out!  This is a picture from the Algonquin area but we are seeing some really great colour as well here.   The water is also dropping fairly steadily now so the boats are rolling in.
We’re still open 7 days a week from 9am-5pm until Thanksgiving and we’re out picking up boats all through the week so send us an email or give us a call to book your toys in for hibernation.
A bit early but just around the corner, 2015 Snowmobile trail permits are on sale.  The early-bird special ($180) is available online until Nov. 1st.

Have a great week and enjoy this weather!

Labour Day Hull WashersIt sure did get quiet around here in a hurry!   Where did all the candy kids go?
We hope everyone has had a good first day or so back at it and good luck to all the university students out there starting over the next few days.

As you can see, our Labour Day hull washers were at it all day Monday as the boats rolled in.  The girls have picked up this week’s boats and the yard is beginning to fill up as they wait their turn to be cleaned up and put to bed.  The water is still quite high for this time of year but they have removed 2 logs from the dam so it is beginning to drop.  Let us know when you’re done with your toys and we’ll get them off your dock for you.

Our hours are now 8am-5pm 7 days a week until Thanksgiving.
