As you can see by the picture, the water is coming up which of course means the ice is too.  Combined with some heavy winds and rain, this is unfortunately causing some dock damage around the lakes. The forecast is showing signs of warmer weather ahead which means spring must be getting close! That being said, there is still a fair amount of ice to melt, and our best guess is things look to be heading in the normal direction for ice-out around April 20th. Hopefully Mother Nature will keep things drier for us than other years, and make getting boats out a touch easier with less mud.
As always, we require a minimum of two weeks notice to have your boats back on the dock, so make sure you let Gord know as soon as possible, as it is always first come, first served. If you don’t get a confirmation from the marina that we have received your request, it means we didn’t get it so please try again.  Gord has stocked the shelves with lots of new toys and towables, so be sure to stop by and pick something out for the new season ahead.  Any dock requirements can also be taken care of and are booking up quickly.
Be careful as you make plans to head up to cottage country over the coming weeks as the roads are starting to soften but still have some icy patches and snow.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

Arcade thorough enjoys his winter activities – he takes his duties seriously as you can see.  Another weekend is here and the trails are not good, especially with all the rain we’ve had, so we will be closed tomorrow.  Thunderstorms last night here….in February?! Cottage roads are getting quite soft where the sun has gotten to them.  The long range still has some hope for all the winter lovers out there to have one more change to enjoy before the inevitable end of snow.  Please be careful out there and stay away from running water.
The Mississagua Dam replacement is well under way with the crew on site every day working to ensure our water levels are maintained here long in to the future.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Welcome to family day weekend! There is lots of snow and snowmobile trails are in great shape. The lakes however are quite slushy. It looks like it will be a gorgeous weekend with spring like temperatures, so if you will be up here, there is free access to the OFSC trails feb 18-20 – You just have to register on their website to receive a free pass. The BDSC is also hosting its annual Enjoy Your Ride BBQ today from 11-3.
With the warm temperatures, you might be starting to feel like spring is just around the corner so try to be proactive and let Gord know of any stuff you might want done to your boat.

Have a great long weekend
