Welcome to Little Gull Marina!

The weather seems to be as usual the topic of conversation this summer?fall?spring? It certainly isn’t letting up it’s desire to be less than summer like conditions. Nonetheless, people seem to be getting out and enjoying what nice weather we do get from time to time. There is some events coming up at LGM in the next couple of weekends. Hastings Marine will be here over the long weekend with a number of boats and some wakeboarding boats to take people out for a ride. Buckeye follows up on the 8th of August weekend with a free pass weekend as well. So come out and enjoy some rides in new boats and let the kids take some hints from some really awesome riders. The annual fireworks go this weekend on Gold Lake on Saturday night. There has been lots of wildlife viewing lately with the critters all wandering around during the day. There is lots of healthy looking fawns along the Beaver Lake Rd. so be careful while driving in the road as they don’t seem to be road smart yet. Summer finally seems to be trying to appear. Although, the temps. are cooler than normal it is at least sunny!! There has been lots of people around in sweaters but nonetheless they aren’t wearing rain coats. The swimming lessons are in full swing and the kids seem to be enjoying them. The shop has been busy and we are almost completed with launching all the boats. That is a good thing because some will be ready to go back in to storage soon. We hope everyone gets a chance to get out and enjoy the weather while it is nice before the weather person changes their mind again. Have a great week!

Another couple of weeks have slipped by again. It gets hard to notice with all the rain! There was one really nice day tucked in there last Saturday but alas more rain again! Nonetheless, it has been still really busy and it seems everyone is out enjoying the weather! At least it has been warm and the water so I hear is warm as well! Again, we welcome all the new people to the area as there seems to be a number of properties that have changed hands in the last few weeks! We look forward to meeting everyone and helping with all of the needs that seem to jump out as you settle in. Be careful, as you will find out, the neighbours up here are more friendly than you might expect and you will end up with numerous friends for life. In reference to the numerous questions about the bears, they seem to be more a rarity than an every evening occurence now than they used to be. We hope everyone is enjoying the start to summer and the store and the staff are ready for another great and busy season. I will start to update the photos a little more often again if the weather guy co-operates soon. There didn’t seem to be much point in showing day after day of rain. If I could have gotten some photos of rainbows it might have at least showed a glimmer of hope the weather person was wrong! Our hours now are 8-8 until Labour Day weekend so those evening treks to the candy counter are a reality for the kids for another great summer. Have a great weekend!
