March 11 Update

Well, it looks like other than a few minor things to get back on like Sales and Galleries the site is going to be back for a while. It has been a trying time but it is now hopefully going to be a lot less painful in the future. Everything has been good up here with the weather spoiling us for the last few weeks. Nonetheless, March came in really nice so we all know how it will treat us at the end of the month. Some of the roads are quite soft and probably will be softer with the forecast for the weekend. There is still snow around but I would say that the sledding is done unless we get some more of the white stuff. The lakes are starting to soften up so if one has an ice hut out on one of the lakes surrounding us this would be the weekend to get it off the ice. We are gearing up for a busy spring so if there is some of those jobs you would like to see done before the boat is launched please let Sally know asap. Stuff like new tops, detailing etc. are easier to schedule now before the big rush!! Have a great weekend and keep the umbrella handy!

March 2 Update

Finally, I have some access to the site for a little while. It has been a few weeks trying to sort out all kinds of issues but I do believe we are curing all the problems of past. Within a few days everything should be stable and good. There has for whatever reason been a number of DNS,IP,hosting issues that have befuddled even the more (much more) computer literate people than I. Having said that it has been a good couple of weeks weather wise for everyone to get out and enjoy the second attempt at winter! We have seen lots of people up enjoying the area and this has been great! The trails were as good as could be expected and then the snow helped considerably to let the snowmobiling begin. The only complaints have been the fishing hasn’t been up to the norm from years past. The fish aren’t hungry so I am told as there is numerous sightings on the fish-finders. Numerous sightings didn’t lead to numerous catchings!! Like I always say that is why it is called “fishing not catching!” The warm weather is starting to make it look a little more spring like this week but March is coming in like a lamb so we all know what that means. Have a great week and if the computer gurus in the sky permit I will be back a lot sooner than later!

Feb 11 Update

A gorgeous week it has been. The snow gods haven’t delivered though and this is causing the conditions to be a little worse for sledders. The trails according to those that are riding are great from here north. The lake is still being traveled but one has to watch for snow patches to keep the sleds cool running. The pressure cracks on Mississagua and Catchacoma are increasing in size so I would suggest checking them out in the daylight as opposed to finding them the hard way at night. Snow in the forecast is certainly going to help. Come up, enjoy and take part in some winter fun on the lakes. As one last note we will be closed on February 15/10 for Family Day. Enjoy the weekend!
