The beginning of the great melt

The beginning of the great melt

Welcome to the North where winter won’t go away.  Even with the weather semi-warming up, the snow is still a couple of feet deep in the woods.  The ice thickness as of this morning is still in excess of 24 inches in the center of Mississagua.  Our bay has approx. 18 inches of good ice.  Having said that, anywhere the water is running it would be a good idea to avoid.  The water is flowing quite quickly.  The ice is starting to pull away from the shoreline ever so slightly.  With all of this just happening now, the spring launch is going to be delayed by a bit that’s for sure.  Our storage area is still very deep with snow and a lot of water etc. to drain before we can get the machines in to start moving the toys. If there is any work you want done before you get your boat for the spring/summer please let Sally know asap.

We are now closed Sundays until later in May, as well as Good Friday.  9-4 are the hours Mon.-Sat.
Have a great week!
