The trilliums have opened and we all know what that means……….yep that’s right, blackflies have joined us.
On another note, our mechanics found these little guys in the back of a boat that was dropped off here this week. They’re just a few weeks old. Mom probably kept them in the boat to stay safe and dry. With some TLC from Leah and the girls, they are doing well and we’re waiting to see if anybody claims them.

Welcome to May! The snow is gone again and Mother Nature welcomed May with a warm, overcast day. The Trilliums are still closed so no little black critters out yet. Water levels are good, but watch out for floating logs!
Our hours starting on Mother’s Day weekend are 8am-5pm everyday.
Typical April showers showed up yesterday and today in the Kawartha Highlands. Still working away at trying to get everyone’s boats in but the wet snow and muddy conditions are not helping. So far the water is maintaining a good spring level. Lots of interest in the new toys that are coming out for the spring so on your next trip up stop by and see what the “kids” might like this year.
