We’re back!!! (I hope)…
Sorry its been so long since our last update.  The end of summer was quite busy and it has continued through the fall.  We hope all the kids (big and little) got back to school and are enjoying it so far.  The colours this fall came and went fairly quickly, but some stuck around for Thanksgiving.  It was great to see so many people up and enjoying the unusually warm weather for this time of year last weekend!  The water levels this year have stayed really quite high but have been slowly dropping away.  We picked up a ton of boats this week and have a list going already for next week.  If you’d like us to come and get your toys just let one of the girls in the store know or send us an email and they’ll add you to the list.
Our hours right now are Monday to Saturday from 9am-5pm.  We are now CLOSED on Sundays until snowmobile trails open.

We’re getting back on track with keeping the website updated so keep checking back for snowmobiles that will be coming up for sale.

Fall colours

Hard to believe it is the middle of August already!

The fireworks on the long weekend were awesome as always, as was the boat show leaving Gold!  A huge thank you to Rick Asling for organizing this night once again and to all of the cottagers and businesses who generously made contributions to the display!

The water has started to drop in the past week or two so be careful when you’re out playing of those nasty rocks that always seem to move each year.
The girls have been busy writing up storage contracts so if you know when you would like your toys to go away for another season give us a call or email and we’ll take care of it for you.

Storm cleanup is still happening in a big way.  There was a lot of damage and lots of trees lost.  If you’re not sure about getting a tree down there are a few businesses in the area that will take care of them for you.  Although most power has been restored (as far as we know), many people are still without phones. It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend so hopefully we’ll see everyone out enjoying the sun and the last couple weeks before the kids head back to school.

Well the weather sure changed after the storm 2 weeks ago!  Its feeling a bit more like august already with cool mornings and beautiful sunny days.  Hopefully we get nice weather for the upcoming long weekend!
As far as we know, all power has been restored to the area with the exception of customers who lost the mast that feeds their cottage directly.  Bell is still trying to restore phone service in some areas.

The annual long weekend fireworks will be taking place again this year on Saturday night, with a rain date of Sunday.  The display will be on Gold Lake so load up your boats and come join the masses!
Thanks to Sally, we have a colouring contest going on out here so for all those kids out there who like to colour, be sure to drop by and pick a picture.  The contest ends on August 17th.

We got the girls out for some tubing fun after work last week so today’s picture is Heather and Shawna’s sunset cruise on a tube.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone out and about this weekend.  The candy counter and ice cream freezers are nice and full for kids of all ages to get that sugar fix!
