A beginning of April weather update:
Spring is trying to spring…but the ice is still pretty thick out there.  It is getting soft around the shores but it could be a later than normal ice-out. That being said, please remember to call or email Sally at least two weeks in advance with your boat requests for the spring/summer. If she doesn’t get back to you, it means she didn’t get it so please try again to get in touch with her.
Our hours are still Monday through Saturday until Mother’s Day.
Finally, Turkey season opens on April 27th so if you’re out enjoying the spring weather, please dress in bright colours and stay safe!

Welcome to Spring!  Although its sure looking and feeling a lot like winter up here…
Despite having some snow still, the snowmobile trails are closed for the winter and therefore we are now closed on Sundays until Mother’s Day.
We’re quickly turning our thoughts to the upcoming boating season so let Sally know about any requests you have for your toys!  If you’re thinking about adding to the fleet this year, we’d be happy to help you find the perfect fit for you and the family.
The ice is still pretty thick but if you’re out playing, stay away from any open or running water – stay safe and play wisely!  Sir Sam’s ski hill is now open weekends only, but the Haliburton Forest is still open for winter activities.

Shhh its a secret!  But we want to wish a very happy birthday to Richard today (this is what happens when we have access to the website). After listening to insistence that this milestone was not going to happen, Leah still managed to surprise him with a great cake Saturday night! Happy Birthday – we hope you have the best year yet!

In cottage news, what a change in temperature from the weekend!  It was another beautiful weekend to be up at the cottage with lots of snow on the lakes and in the forest, and snowmobile trails in good condition.  This week looks a lot like the temperatures from last week again but warming up in time for the weekend so come on up and enjoy a bit of winter wonderland here.
